2019 Winter/Spring English Classes
We serve all international students and scholars in the Twin Cities.
We will post our Winter/Spring Calendar of Classes soon. We can teach you to speak English better
in classes or conversation groupings. Find a class near you at one of four near-campus locations.
The Sunday activities continue through the Break.
English Classes start back after winter break on Jan 22 and go until May 15.
Our next Conversation Partners is on January 12.
English 2- Advanced Beginner/Intermediate
In this class you will:
review grammar and increase vocabulary
improve your listening and speaking through discussion and conversation
learn from native speakers
Most Mondays from 1-4 pm
Debbie teaches painting techniques and is skilled in many kinds of crafts. Creating art is a wonderful way to relax from the stresses of living in another culture. One of the joys of Debbie's painting class is that no experience is needed!
$1 per class
$7 for the semester
English Conversation - All Levels
The Conversation Partner events will help internationals practice different levels of practical everyday English by speaking with a friendly person whose first language is English.
2nd and 4th Saturdays: January 12, 26, Feb. 9, 23, March 9, 23, April 13, 27, May 11, 2019, from 9:30-11:30 a.m. at SVC Commons
Any Level: Sundays, Informal Lunch after Worship Service, Stadium Village Church, Most Sundays at 12:30 pm.
Basic English - Life in the Twin Cities
Thursdays from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm
Class held at the Hospitality Center for Chinese
This is a very basic class for those who have little to no English abilities. Debbie will be teaching it. Your visiting parents would love this class! Starts January 24, 2019.
1st, 3rd, & 5th Fridays of the Month from 10 am to 1 pm
Classes held at Stadium Village Church
Quilting Class meets in The Commons of Stadium Village Church (down the stairs). In these classes you will:
learn and practice simple sewing skills
share your own ideas
finish each class by eating lunch together and hearing a Bible message
This class is in English, Japanese, and Mandarin.
