Question: Why volunteer with CXI?  Answer: Because it’s really fun!

There are many ways to be involved at Connexions International, even if teaching isn't your thing.

You have choices on how to volunteer:

  • Become a Conversation Partner or prepare food on Saturdays

  • Teach an English, Cooking, Fitness, or Scrapbooking Class

  • Drive our guests on days we have outings

  • Host a student or two for Thanksgiving and Easter Dinner

  • Pray for us on your own, or on first Wednesdays at noon

  • Use your computer skills, even from home, anytime!

  • Help us publicize our activities on campus.

  • Serve as a board member or a Vision Brunch team member

  • donate Scripture portions in other languages

  • recruit a Twin Cities university student to volunteer

Can I check out Connexions before I commit myself?

Volunteer English Teachers have many opportunities to develop relationships with their students.

Yes! Here are some good places to start:

  • Visit a class or accompany us on an outing.

  • Invite CXI to your group to learn more about the international student community in the Twin Cities.

  • Offer you or your friends to prepare and serve a meal for a Saturday lunch or holiday picnic.

  • Sign-up for our quarterly E-Letter to read experiences shared by students and volunteers. Just email janee@cxiumn.org.

  • Contact our director with questions at: janee@cxiumn.org with a good time to be reached by phone (include your phone number).
